Yes. Nothing is connected automatically — you add each browser or profile to your sync account yourself, and anything you don't connect is left completely untouched.
Only if you want them to. At first, each browser you connect gets its own folder. You can reorganize them however you like.
OneTab makes it easy to access the same stored tabs across all browser profiles. You can keep the stored tabs from different profiles in separate folders so they don't get mixed up, or maintain just one large collection.
They're the same mechanism. Every change you make is encrypted, stored on the server, and appears instantly in your other browsers — no reload needed. If you ever suffer a crash, hardware failure, theft, or disk corruption, everything can be restored from the server.
No — everything is encrypted on your device before upload. Most services only encrypt data in transit. OneTab has end-to-end encryption, which means the server can't see what you have stored.
Only your saved OneTab tabs and settings. Never your browsing history or open tabs.
You lose nothing — your saved tabs stay in every browser. Only the syncing and backup stop.
Install OneTab on a new machine, enter your license key and encryption key, and everything comes back. For convenience, you can also choose to keep your encryption key in server custody, so that you can recover your data with just your email.
No. One license covers all your computers, browsers, and browser profiles (up to 100).
You can purchase additional licenses now or later. Billing is centralized, and you receive the license keys to send to your team. Add licenses at any time, or remove them at your next renewal. Each team member's data stays private — even from the person who bought their license.
Yes. You can access OneTab when offline, and any changes you make while offline will sync automatically the next time you're online.
No — OneTab works exactly as before. Sync runs automatically and quietly in the background.
Your saved tabs live in your browser; the server is only an encrypted backup and sync service. Even if it's unreachable, everything stays available locally on your computer.
Enormous engineering effort goes into reliable, secure, and encrypted instant synchronization between browsers. It requires robust cloud infrastructure and ongoing maintenance. OneTab is a complex product that has been years in the making, and your support helps us fund its continued development.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details never touch OneTab's servers.
May your mind be clear, your browser uncluttered, and good fortune find you in every endeavor.
